  • Ecological approaches to food, housing, energy, and land stewardship

  • How resilience and renewal are shaping communities across the region

  • Opportunities to visit, volunteer, or even live in community

  • What it's really like to experience these projects firsthand

Featured Communities

We'll hear from residents of several communities, including:

  • Adawehi Wellness Village – a wellness-focused intentional community in western North Carolina that spans125 acres and is home to residents living in both single-family and community living options, all centered around holistic health, healing, and sustainable living.

  • Common Ground Ecovillage – a growing, sociocratically governed intentional community on 112 acres, where residents collaborate in regenerative agriculture, ecological stewardship, and cooperative living to create a resilient, multigenerational rural village rooted in environmental and social justice.

  • Living Well Ecovillage – a sustainability-focused neighborhood on 126 acres along North Carolina's Deep River, where residents live in a mix of private homes and shared community spaces surrounded by gardens, trails, protected natural areas, and abundant opportunities for learning, connection, and stewardship of the land.

  • Terra Futura – a relatively new regenerative neighborhood in West Asheville cultivating an ecological, multi-generational village life, infused with the mystic energy of the Appalachian Mountains and the art-and-music spirit of a neighborhood.

  • Additional ecovillages and regenerative communities rooted in place, cooperation, and ecological design.

All of these communities are accepting new members.
